Is everything you sell actually vintage?

Yes, it is! At SROK Ads we deal exclusively in original vintage ads, prints, maps, postcards and anything else we find & sell. This means that all items that have a date attributed to them, are actually from that time! 

Where do you get all of your items from?

SROK Ads has been collecting vintage magazines and newspapers for over 25 years and as such has a large collection already in-house - though it is ever growing! 

Most of our items come from vintage Dutch, British, American, German and French magazines and newspapers, such as:

  • Country Life, The Graphic, Illustrated London News
  • L'Illustration, Paris Match, Le Figaro
  • Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant (NRC), Utrechts Dagblad, Haagsche Courant en Nieuwe Haagse Courant
  • Die Woche, Illustrirte Zeitung


Do you have more ads available?

Yes, we certainly do! We have an estimated 100.000 different original magazine advertisements available (which is why we don't have them all in the webshop...). If you are looking for something specific, whether a brand or a  theme, and you are unable to find it in the webshop, please don't hesitate to contact us. 


Send an email with a description of what you're looking for (topic, age, size - topic being the most important) to ads@srok.nl and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do you frame pictures?

Because framing a picture (choosing the material, colour, passe partout etc.,) is such a personal choice, we leave that bit up to you!

I have some vintage magazines lying around - are you interested?

Yes! We are always interested in new material - provided that it meets our standards (quality, age, topic of interest, to name a few).

Please send an email to ads@srok.nl with a detailed description of what vintage magazines/newspapers/maps/...etc., you have and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

What payment methods does SROK Ads accept?

You can pay via iDeal, Bancontact, Paypal or bank transfer.    

Bancontact & Paypal

There is a (small) charge when you pay via Bancontact or Paypal.

Via Bancontact there is a 1,5% charge over the total transaction and via Paypal there is a € 0,35 surplus and 3,5% charge over the total transaction. These are transaction fees and do not end up with SROK Ads.

Bank transfer

If you choose to pay via bank transfer, please transfer the entire amount to:

How is my order sent?

Your items are sent in a sturdy cardboard envelope so that no bending is possible.


All advertisements are sold in a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing.

How do I know my order is sent? And can I follow my order?

When you have placed an order and payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email stating your order has been received. As soon as your order has been packed and sent, you will receive a confirmation email stating your order is on its way.


Shipping via "flatbox" and parcel post will give an automatic Track & Trace code. You'll receive this code in the same email confirming your order has been sent. 

How long will it take before I receive my order?

If you place an order on a workday (Mon - Fri), your order will be sent the same or very next day. 

If you place an order in the weekend (Sat - Sun), your order will be sent the very next workday. 

Orders will be sent via PostNL and usually arrive in 1 -2 days after dispatch (shipment to Belgium usually takes a little longer). SROK ads is not responsible for delays once the order is in the hands of PostNL.

Can I send my order somewhere else?

 Yes, you can! As long as it's within the Netherlands or Belgium. You can fill in the address during check-out. Remember to add a note if you don't want the invoice sent with your order!

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, you can! You can make an appointment to pick up your order at our office in Zoetermeer or you can choose to pick it up at one of the many markets or events we are attending.

Do you ship outside of The Netherlands?

Yes! Our standard shipping costs are for The Netherlands and Belgium. If you wish to send an order outside of these countries, please send us an email and we will calculate the shipping costs for you.

What are the shipping costs?

Flatbox: € 3,95

Parcel: € 6,95

Belgium (parcel)€ 12,95

How are the shipping costs calculated?

The shipping costs are calculated by the dimensions of an item(s) and the total weight of your order.

How do I know what my shipping costs are?

When you have added items to you shopping basket and are ready to check out, you will see how much the shipping costs are. 


The standard shipping costs of 3,95 and 6,95 for The Netherlands, will only be exceeded if the weight goes above 2.0 kilos.

Returns & complaints

I have not received my order yet, what should I do?

Your order should arrive 1 - 3 days after it has been sent (not counting exceptions such as holidays, strikes or other, unforseen, circumstances). If you haven't received your order after this time, please contact us via ads@srok.nl

I have received an incomplete or damaged order, what should I do?

If your order is incomplete, please send us an email with the products you are missing together with a photograph of the items you have received.


If your order is damaged, please send us an email with a description and photograph of the damage.


Please email us within 24 hours of receiving the incomplete or damaged order so we can fix the problem swiftly!

Can I return an order?

If by any chance you are not happy with your order, you can return the item(s) you don't want within 14 days of receipt. Please make sure the items are sent back undamaged and in their original packaging. If possible, please return in the original SROK Ads envelope.  The costs of returning products is to be paid for by the customer, not by SROK ads.

Please send an email to ads@srok.nl so we know to expect your parcel. In the email. please add your name, bank account number and invoice number or send a copy of the invoice as an attachment.  

We will send you the return address in an email reply.

After we have received the returned products and they are still in such a condition that we can sell them again, we will transfer the total amount for the items you've returned to your given bank account number within 7 days.

I have a complaint, who do I contact?

We do our best to keep our webshop as accurate and smooth running as possible and, in turn, our customers happy! If, however, you have a complaint, please contact us via our Contact form or send us an email via ads@srok.nl and we will try to fix what's wrong.

Please note that all answers to 'Payment', 'Shipping', 'Delivery' and 'Returns and complaints' questions only apply to orders made via the webshop, email or any other online forum. These rules do not apply to items purchased 'offline' (i.e. markets, events etc.).
